I hope this email finds you well. I want to thank everyone for another great year at North Wayne. Our goal is always to provide the best possible educational experience for our students, and I think we were able to accomplish that once again. With that being said, we are starting to plan for next year. Here are some dates and noteworthy information.
1. 2026-27 Registration dates
Online registration is Aug 3 - Aug 11
In person registration is Aug 10 and 11 (at your child's school)
2. CEP - We are excited to announce that we have been approved to continue the CEP program for 26-27. This means that all students in the district can eat breakfast and lunch free of charge. A big thank you to all of those who put work in behind the scenes to make this happen once again.

The CHS softball originally scheduled to be played at Red Hill today (5/20) has been moved to South Central with a 4:30 start time. The address for the field is 612 E 1st St, Kinmundy, IL 62854.

CHS Students and Parents-
Part of the CHS graduation requirements is to complete 24 hours of community service during your senior year. This Friday would be a great opportunity for you to get started on that requirement. Please see the attachment for more details and reach out to Ms. Braden with any questions !

IHSA State Qualifier in Triple Jump.
She will compete in the State Finals beginning next Thursday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
Ashtyn is the second girl in CHS history to qualify for state! We are proud of you Ashtyn and good luck!

Cisne FFA Parliamentary Procedure team members (left to right): Kenzie Alvis, Mikkie Hearle, Aidyn Dickey, Kadence Hyder, Esme Krupp, and Allison Shannon finished as the 2nd place team in the Illinois FFA State Parliamentary Procedure Leadership Development Event held May 7, 2026, at Illinois Central College in Peoria. Individual honors included: 1st place Overall State Floor Member - Mikkie Hearle and 2nd place Overall State Chair - Kenzie Alvis.
The six member team completed individual written exams of parliamentary law, answered oral questions pertaining to his/her assigned motion, and participated in the eleven minute demonstration of parliamentary procedure. FFA chapters have to advance through section and district rounds to qualify as one of ten teams in Illinois to compete at the state event.

On Monday, May 4, Cisne High School held their 2026 Academic Awards. Of the many awards handed out, the Illinois State Scholar Award was awarded to three seniors: Ava Greifzu, Hagen Howard, and Kadence Hyder. Congratulations!
North Wayne CUSD 200 is holding a special board meeting on Friday May 8th at 5:15 pm at CMS. The purpose of the meeting is to consider hiring two certified teaching positions. The agenda is attached.
