On Friday, October 3, 2025, eighteen Cisne FFA members (Pictured front row left to right) Kloyee Dagg, Lillian McCarthy, Allison Shannon, Aidyn Dickey, Becca King (middle row) Reese Beckel, Rylee Dillon, Peyton Cordill, Esme Krupp, Addison Owens, Kenzie Alvis (back row) Emma Ellis, Bryli Flexter, Bristol Atwood, Emery Frederick, Ava Lewis, Claire Matthews and Ashtyn Smith participated in the District V Horse Judging Career Development Event hosted at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. The team received 6th place overall. Claire Matthews was Cisne’s High Scorer and finished as 11th overall individual. Over 450 students representing forty-eight schools participated in the event. The competition required members to judge six rings of four horses. Two classes were halter/confirmation while the remaining classes were performance.

Cisne FFA members, Claire Cannon (left) and Kenzie Alvis (right) competed in the Section 23 Job Interview Leadership Development Event (LDE) held September 30th at Wabash Valley College. Cannon finished 4th overall in the Varsity Division, and Alvis placed 2nd in the Junior Varsity Division. Nine area schools participated. The competition required completion of a cover letter, resume, job application, personal interview, and thank you letter. Alvis advances to the district level hosted by SIUC later this month.

On Thursday, October 2nd Cisne FFA members (front row left to right) Ava Greifzu, Antenella Cline (back row) Hagen Howard, and Kadence Hyder finished 2nd in the Section 23 Ag Sales Leadership Development Event hosted by Wabash Valley College. Section Individual overall results: 3rd - Hagen Howard, 5th - Ava Greifzu, and 8th - Antenella Cline. Nineteen students representing five schools participated in the event. The 2025 Ag Sales product is a Rimol Greenhouse package with options.. The competition required members to take a written quiz, sell a greenhouse package, and complete a team activity. Cisne advances to district level competition at Rend Lake College later in October.
