Power has been restored at Cisne Middle School.

Cisne Middle School is currently having power issues and the phone lines are down. Ameren has been contacted and will be making repairs . If you need to get in contact with us please send an email.

Jr. High Baseball at South Central tomorrow is cancelled. If we do not find a replacement team to play there will be practice from 2:15 to 4:15.

North Wayne CUSD 200 held our large staff meeting at Blue Point Church on Tuesday August 12th. A big thank you to Blue Point for letting us host the event at the link. Also a big thank you to all of those that assisted with the organization of the event and the nice meal provided for the staff. Finally, a big shout out to the "Mad Hungarian" Al Hrabosky who was our keynote speaker, embracing the importance of education and relating to our staff by challenging them to compete for our students. Al, will enter the St. Louis cardinals hall of fame on September 6th. He has a big heart for kids across the country and great respect for those in education.

Free Children's Orthopedic clinic Wednesday August 20th.

North Wayne CUSD 200 is bringing a hunter's safety course back to our district this year. This will be part of our community connections initiative.
We hosted a class a few years ago and the response was great. The dates this year will be Friday (evening) Sept 26 and Saturday Sept 27. (The location will be either CMS or CHS)
Once we have exact information from the gentleman leading the class, we will pass that along. He has informed me that a few things have changed regarding online registration and
number of attendees. Stay tuned for more information.

North Wayne CUSD 200 is looking to fill two coaching vacancies. These are both for the spring (2026) season and will be for Cisne High School.

1. Head Softball Coach (CHS), stipend is $2,295
2. Assistant Baseball Coach (CHS), stipend is $1,299

To apply, please submit (via email) a letter of interest, resume or related experience, and 2 letters of recommendation. The deadline to apply is Friday August 8, 2025.

We are excited to announce the dates for Dual Credit Orientation. We will offer face-to-face options across IECC campuses and two virtual sessions as well for those who cannot attend in person. We are sending postcards out to registered students, but we would love if you could share the info through your school media platforms and messaging systems as well. Students should visit our website to register at https://iecc.edu/iecc/academics/dual-credit/general-information/dual-credit-orientation.

Valuable information will be presented which is applicable to any Dual Credit student. Specific information and instructions will be shared in preparation for the 2025-2026 academic year. Students who will be taking classes on campus, and/or online Dual Credit classes are strongly encouraged to attend.

Online registration
Open from July 28 - Aug 10
How to access this - Simply go to teacherease.com (or the app if you have it) and you will be prompted to register your child from that point.

In person registration
In person registration will be from 8-3 (at each school in the district) on August 5th and 6th.

For any questions please contact your schools office or phone the unit office at 673-2151.

Online Registration -
Online student registration will open July 28th through Teacher Ease and remain open through August 10th. To complete registration log-in to teacher ease and you will be prompted to complete registration. In-person registration will be available Aug 5 or 6 from 8-3 at your student's school. New students are encouraged to register in person. Please call your school office with any questions. You may also email Mr. Ellis at aellis@northwayne.net

Website -
We are excited to announce the launch of our new website coming at the end of July. Our goal with this new website is to provide families and students an easy way to learn about district events and happenings. The new website will give better access to calendar events, school forms, classroom content, and sports information. We will be constantly updating content and we hope it will be a helpful resource for everyone. We are also working with apple to develop a user friendly app version of the website. This might happen after the launch of the website, but we will keep everyone updated as we progress.
